While celebrating Hanuka, The State Jewish Theater continues the ”Wide Open Books” series with a Hebrew music and poetry reading performance.
We propose you a selection of some of the most beautiful and touching poems of classical Hebrew poets, like Dahlia Ravikovitch, Nathan Zach, Haim Nahman Bialik, Zelda Mishkovsky, Yona Volach or Yehuda Amichai, and also famous songs composed by Saşa Argov, Şlomo Artzi, Nahum Heiman, Rami Kleinstein, Yehudit Ravitz and Idan Raichel. The lyrics of the songs are written by Nathan Alterman, Alexander Penn, Rahel Shapira, Noa Golanski, Ehud Manor, Yankale Rotblit and Rita Yahan.
Together with Maia Morgenstern, Alexandra Fasolă and Alina Tomi, we are glad to have Liat Farris-Twain (voice) şi Irina Barbu (piano) with us. The translation from English to Romanian is made by Edith Negulici.
The performance will take place on Friday, on the 11th of December, at 7 PM, at ”Ioan I. Dalles” Popular University. The host of the event will be Univ. Lect. Camelia Maria Craciun.
